German Motor Tech has been serving owners of fine automobiles in north Georgia since 1993. The GMT team is laser-focused on efforts to provide impeccable service with the utmost integrity. When a customer calls on GMT to perform service, repairs, or mechanical modifications, they can rest assured that skilled professionals will perform the work on their vehicle and that the company will stand behind it. (Most service and repairs have a warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes sooner.) Many long-term customer relationships fortify the claim that German Motor Tech is a trusted automotive advisor and repair facility.

Customers can be confident in work performed by GMT for several reasons. First and foremost, a company representative will contact the customer for authorization to perform any work that was not anticipated as necessary when the automobile was left for service or if any extraordinary expense is required to fully complete a job. It is GMT's policy to allow a customer to visit the shop to see the evidence or tell-tale signs of a problem when significant repairs are necessary and when such a visit is feasible from a scheduling standpoint. Finally, it is also GMT's policy to save defective parts for the customer to see or to keep. It is important to us that you know all activity at German Motor Tech is above board and we are prepared to demonstrate that in any way possible.

The technicians at GMT are equipped with diagnostic computers and shop management and repair management software for most German and Japanese automobiles at their immediate disposal. Whether a diagnostic engine scan is necessary to address a "Check Engine" indicator light or to resolve other electronic or mechanical problems, the shop almost always has the necessary equipment on hand with technicians who know how to use it effectively. In the rare case when the necessary equipment is not on hand, the management will work diligently to promptly gain access to the applicable tool.

Parts and fluids used by GMT technicians are always of the highest quality available. When a manufacturer calls for a certain brand and specification for synthetic motor oil, coolant, automatic transmission fluid, German Motor Tech does not cut corners. We stocks Mobil1, BMW Synthetic Motor Oil, and Castrol Synthetic Motor Oil, Pentosin ATF, BMW Coolant, Mercedes-Benz Coolant, and assorted BG products. The petroleum-based motor oil used by GMT is Valvoline 20w 50. OEM Mann Mahle, Hengst, and Bosch and oil, air, and cabin filters are used - as applicable. GMT is an authorized Interstate Battery. Only top-quality bulbs and hardware are installed in the vehicles serviced by German Motor Tech.

They do not claim to be infallible - as the current state of automobile repair is very complicated. However, when issues and complications do arise, the GMT team will work diligently to promptly resolve the matter and pledges to always treat the customer fairly. Pre-Purchase Inspections
No one should make the significant financial investment required to own a fine German or Japanese automobile without the benefit of a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection. The process at German Motor Tech includes a full inspection of the vehicle and a brief consultation to discuss the value of the automobile under consideration. Computer Diagnostic Capability
Whether it is necessary to identify a problem causing a "Check Engine" light to be illuminated, to diagnose an engine problem, or to review historical information recorded in the on-board computer, GMT's technicians use diagnostic scanning tools to retrieve information. These tools are also used to reset service and oil change indicators after service work is completed.

Rebuild Engines
Whether an engine needs a major overhaul due to mechanical malfunction or due to a decision to make major modifications, the professionals at German Motor Tech have the equipment and experience to rebuild the engine on most German and Japanese automobiles.

German and Japanese automobiles are among the finest in the world. It goes without saying that many owners of these cars are automotive enthusiasts. Whether modifications are desired for improved performance on the track or for more muscle, exhaust music, and/or better handling on the street, German Motor Tech's technicians are prepared to provide professional advice and installation. In this case, GMT's master technician performed a full engine rebuild and modifications that included installation of SSI heat exchangers, and a Monty muffler (with dual outlets).
