Founder, Jim Hobbs, and a partner opened a small business to service German vehicles in Norcross, Georgia - just outside of Atlanta, in 1993. While German Motor Tech started out small, it grew very quickly. It soon became a trusted source for repairing and maintaining vehicles for hundreds of local Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and Volkswagen owners.

Perhaps you've seen the insurance commercials that show one classic cars garage owner saying he was leaving the business because it was time to stop talking cheap and begin taking action to follow his dream. Ironically, the new owner says the 'exact same thing' as he begins taking steps to successfully launch his new business. That ad could easily describe the change in ownership with German Motor Tech.

Today, German Motor Tech is owned and operated by a longtime classic cars fanatic and enthusiast, Max Clavijo. The current ownership and staff are dedicated to superior customer service and technical expertise to maintain your vehicle and establish lasting relationships.

GMT specializes in the sales and service of German and Japanese automobiles. Our service offering includes scheduled general maintenance as well as major and minor repairs.
